I have a lot a student loan debt. I don’t know if I didn’t work hard enough to get a scholarship, or my grades weren’t good enough, or my parents made too much. Maybe a combination of the three, but the outcome was minimal scholarship opportunities and a bunch of student loan providers lined up to give me money. And now they want it back, with interest.
I’m not complaining. I did what I had to do. I’m not special. My story isn’t unique. Multiple people have paid, are paying and will pay student loan companies. I guess that’s just the way it is. However, I know one thing is for sure; the loans will be taken care of. No doubt in my mind, my God is too big for them not to.
What I also know is that I don’t want anyone else to have to worry about how his or her school fees are going to get paid. Even if we can help one person, that is one more person that doesn’t have to deal with the stress of not knowing where relief will come. That’s why Julius Bryant and I started the Bryant-Brummell Business Award at Central Michigan University a few years back and to-date have paid out upwards of $10000 in scholarship monies, and we are still accepting donations!
