My First Blog Post: Does Having A Blog Make Me A Blogger, or Nah? (2013)

From the blog formerly known as: I Just Be Talking

I’ve always liked writing, scratch that, I’ve always liked typing. I don’t write much, but this keyboard is a release for me. Would the conventional consider the two different, probably not? Do I? For the sake of this first blog entry I do, but in a few days after I have expressed my views I’ll probably use them synonymously again.

I just be talking. Do I take myself seriously? Of course, I do. Do I take my words seriously? Most of the time. I Just be talking.

Usually, my words are based in truth. I like to laugh, and truth is funny. Maybe not at the moment, but I guarantee no matter how bad a situation is; once you get through it, you will laugh at it. Why is that? How can a situation at one point be so devastating that it brings you to tears; and at another point, it will bring you to tears, but this time they are tears of hilarity.

Time heals all wounds it seems, but I think it’s deeper than just time. I believe it is a person’s conquering spirit that no longer respects a situation that it has attained victory over. The defeated becomes a laughing stock in the mind of the victor, no longer suitable for anything more than a possibly over-exaggerated story ladened with: but for reals, real talks, and then I was likes, the word bro 36 times, I ain’t evens, non-stop laughing, I’m serious’, and It’s not funnys followed by more non-stop laughing.

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Psalms 125:6

There’s something to say about the person that can overcome a situation and laugh about it in the future like there it wasn’t that serious.

Well, I’ll leave this final thought; maybe it was never that serious in that first place. Maybe you had more strength than you thought you had. Maybe it was just a test. God be like that sometimes.

An obstacle will be placed in your way that may seem insurmountable when viewed as a whole; but when you finally make the decision to climb you can no longer see the daunting big picture. Now you see a series of smaller objectives and goals that with effort can be overcome. No longer do you see a HUGE mountain; but a rock here and a crevice there. LOOK a mountain lion!!!, okay maybe it’s just a goat, and you keep climbing, You finally reach the top. Now you have the perspective of what God has seen all along, Hindsight!

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. I Peter 4:12-13

Ok, the previous paragraph was supposed to be the closing paragraph, but I just be talking. Hindsight is the vision that fills you with that sense of victory because it is the Vision that is officially sponsored by the Conquerer, all rights reserved for somebody who has been through something.

Now you get a glimpse of what God has been seeing from his seat outside of time and space; a panoramic view of where you’ve come from, and what you had to do to get where you are. You were going to make it. It was not too big. It was not too hard. God had your back the whole time. That mountain lion was actually just a goat. YOU JUST CLIMBED A MOUNTAIN! What once was insurmountable is now your footstool. It is now the butt of a very funny joke. A true story that sounds more like fiction because when you tell “what had happened” it seems so unbelievable that even you wouldn’t believe it if you hadn’t gone through it. Congratulations you’re victorious.

We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests. Psalms 20:5

Now that we got that out of the way, TURN AROUND! Only spend a short time basking in your victories because once you turn around you will get a glimpse of where you are going, foresight. The Vision that is officially sponsored by the Trailblazer, all rights reserved for the one who is not afraid to step out on their own, or should I say with the help of God. It’s time to get off of this mountain and get to the place God has promised for you; while making new hilarious stories on the way.

Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse. Proverbs 2:11-12
